Who we are

The Central American Group (CAG) is a conglomerate of prestigious companies with operations that are located throughout the region.   During its more than 30 years of existence, the organization has been involved in the operation of economic free zones and industrial real-estate development.  The CAG is also Central America’s premier provider of third-party logistics (3PL) services.   The Central American Group’s headquarters are located in San Salvador, El Salvador. 

Manufacturing Infrastructure

The CAG provides modern infrastructure for manufacturers at its free zones in Costa Rica and El Salvador. 

The Central American Group’s Green Park Free Zone in Costa Rica meets the highest of global standards that are related to quality, safety, cleanliness, and sustainability.  Companies that choose to establish and maintain operations at the CAG’s Green Park have access to a world-class infrastructure at competitive prices, as well as access to the organization’s committed and enthusiastic support staff.

In El Salvador, the Central American Group owns and operates the Zona Franca Internacional and the San Marcos Free Zones.  Over fifty companies are located in these facilities.  Together they employ a total of 12,000 of the area’s workers.

Real-Estate Development

Grupo Corten S.A. de C.V. is the Central American Group’s real-estate development arm.  The firm was founded in 1998 by a group of Salvadoran engineers and has been involved in projects for international and local government, as well as private sector organizations throughout Central America since its beginning.   In addition to manufacturing industrial buildings, Corten is experienced in the areas of earthwork, risk mitigation, and highway infrastructure.

3PL Solutions

Loginter and Grupo Maritimo are the Central American Group’s 3PL solutions providers.  Loginter is an El Salvador-based company that offers both regional and international multi-modal transport services to its customers, as well as engages in warehousing and inventory control. 

Grupo Maritimo offers agency services for ocean vessels, as well as for shipping lines.  Additionally, Grupo Maritimo can provide ground shipping and customs services.  The company has offices in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.
