In a consensus of the country’s legislature, the proposal on the initiative to reform the Electronic Signature Law in El Salvador was recently approved. This measure seeks to improve the mechanisms for the attraction of investment to the Central American country. El Salvador’s Electronic Signature law was approved in its original form in March of 2015.

The Electronic Commerce Market in Central America reached $ USD 3.7 billion during 2020
The sales that were generated through transactions in electronic commerce in Central American reached US $3.7 billion last year. This is a figure that represents an increase of 40% in relation to the calendar year 2019. President Nayib Bukele is promoting Bitcoin use in El Salvador
The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, recently revealed that his country would build a “satellite infrastructure” for the use of Bitcoin in El Salvador in rural areas with connection problems.
“A satellite infrastructure will be built so that Salvadorans in rural areas can connect to the internet and the Bitcoin network in places where connectivity is poor,” the president posted on his Twitter.

The Costa Rican Space Agency has been created
On February 8, 2021, the Congress of the country passed a law that created the Costa Rican Space Agency (ACS) to promote space as a development tool for the nation’s industry and economy.
There initiallly was a fear that Congress would veto the measure for budgetary reasons. Costa Rican President Carlos Alvarado acted to ease lawmakers” concerns.
